A thousand years ago it was a land of forests, mountains and beaches and the only sounds were birdsongs, winds and waves. That’s why this country wants to preserve its natural heritage. However, for most non-Maori New-Zealanders their knowledge about the Haka is limited to the rugby meaning. Actually, this complex dance is an expression of the passion and vigour for their identity.
