Score a Goal
Outdoor Game
Score a Goal is a challenging outdoor game that can be enjoyed by players of all ages. To play, set up the goal facing the play area. Measure a set distance from the goal and mark the area as your "penalty spot". This is the area where all shots will be taken from. The aim of the game is to get the ball into the goal (score a penalty) more times than anyone else. Ball must go through the hole to count as a goal.
The player who scores the most goals wins the game! Let's play ball!
Game Rules
Game Setup
-
Equipment: The game consists of one goal and one football (size 3)
-
Distance: Set the penalty spot approximately 12 feet away from the goal. Players take a shot with the ball placed on the designated penalty spot.
Gameplay
Starting the Game: A coin toss determines which player or team goes first. Players take turns kicking the ball at the goal (taking a penalty).
Each team takes five penalties each
Alternating Kicks: The teams take turns shooting at the goal from the penalty spot, which is 12 yards away. The first team to kick is determined by the coin toss. After that, the teams alternate until all five penalties have taken a shot.
Sudden Death: If the score is still tied after both teams have taken five shots, the shootout enters sudden death. In sudden death, the teams continue taking alternate kicks until one team scores and the other misses.
Winner Determination: The team with the most goals at the end of the shootout is declared the winner of the match. If the score is still tied after sudden death, the shootout will continue until a winner is determined.
